In January 2019, Dana Point had the highest number of January home sales in over 13 years (and possibly longer, but at least dating back to 2006).
There were 36 home sales in Dana Point in January 2019.
Although Dana Point remained an Extreme Seller’s Market due to a low inventory of 1.32 months, the average home price fell 28% to $1,078,319 and the median home price fell 11% to $880,000 from December to January.
The highest number of home sales, by price band, was tied between the $600K-$700K price band and the $1MM – $1.5MM price band – with 6 home sales in each price band.
From December to January, average days on market fell 24% from 76 to 58.
Although the inventory in January was quickly gobbled up by hungry buyers, if February’s numbers stay on January’s course, there should be even more properties changing hands in Dana Point.
